Challenges
There are fewer job opportunities since the paper mill closed.
Because our population isn't as high as other cities, our shopping mall doesn't have as many options. For example, we don't have any outlets, big name brand stores like American Eagle or Abercrombie.
You have to travel if you would like to go to a concert or a play.
Advantages
Cornwall has always been known for being a 'milltown' that smelled, but since all of the mills have closed down, it is evolving into a place of possibilities. There are new stores, restaurants and businesses opening constantly.
Being so close to major Canadian cities is a big advantage.
It is also a very bilingual city therefore there are more job opportunities.
